Notes
There is a shortfall of one 11v11 3G FTP in the North East area. Site options require exploration, subject to feasibility.
Subject to exploration of potentially feasible site options, there may be need for the development of new or refurbished ancillary provision to support the development of a 3G FTP.
Steering group consultation has highlighted two sites as potential future development sites for 3G FTP provision in the North East area: Cheslyn Hay Leisure Centre and Four Ashes Playing Field.
It is anticipated that a new 11v11 3G FTP in the North East area would service demand from the Walsall Junior Youth League; this includes clubs such as Brewood Juniors FC (12 teams, England 2* Accredited Club), Brewood Juniors Girls FC (one team, England 2* Accredited Club), Penkridge Juniors FC (22 teams, England 1* Accredited Club), Wheaton Aston Juniors FC (four teams, England 1* Accredited Club), Wyrley Juniors FC (27 teams, England 3* Accredited Club) and Wyrley Juniors Girls FC (13 teams, England 3* Accredited Club).
Both Brewood Juniors FC, Penkridge Juniors FC and Wheaton Aston FC report a need for access to additional 3G FTPs to facilitate their respective training demand.
The development would serve community football, including women and girls activity.
