Potential site options include:
The Silent Night Stadium (Barnoldswick FC)
Rolls Royce Sports Ground
Victory Park
West Craven High School
Barnoldswick Town Juniors FC is the largest club in the area. It has 18 teams (of which two are dedicated junior girls teams) and is England Football 2* accredited. Barnoldswick Barons FC is also a large football team in the area and it has seven teams (of which two are dedicated girls teams)and is England Football 1* accredited.
This project would enable both clubs to provide more opportunities for local participants and enable growth opportunities in the women and girls game.
A review of the supporting ancillary structures at each site option would be required to determine if further investment is needed to ensure a full programme of use can be supported.
West Craven Warriors ARLFC (Rugby League) is based at Victory Park. A project at this site, or within the wider area catchment, could provide a solution to the overplay/lack of pitches at its site and therefore will be considered as part of any project when a project progresses.
