Notes
There is a shortfall of one 11v11 3G FTP for football in the North sub-area. The following opportunities could be explored:.
- Sirius Academy North: Active Humber reports that the Academy has expressed an interest in converting their existing sand based AGP to a 3G FTP. The pitch has floodlighting, is available for community use and is not used for community hockey activity.
- Tigers Trust Arena: ERFA and FF has been in discussion with Tigers Trust over the course of several years regarding the potential to create a new 11v11 3G FTP at land around the existing Tigers Trust Arena site. It is not proposed that this would include development of the existing disused AGPs within West Park.
A pitch at the site could be accessible to meet demand from clubs in both the West and North sub-areas. Tigers Trust would be the main project partner and would likely deliver a mixed programme of formal affiliated and other football activity, including the wide range of programmes and initiatives directly delivered by Tigers Trust. Should a project here of this nature be progressed, the mixed programme would likely not meet the shortfall for affiliated team training in full and therefore there could be scope to need a second additional 3G FTP project to service the North sub-area.
