Notes
There is a shortfall of 4.75 11v11 3G FTPs in the Burton West area. Site options require exploration, subject to feasibility.
Subject to exploration of potentially feasible site options, there may be need for the development of new or refurbished ancillary provision to support the development of a 3G FTP.
Steering group consultation has highlighted four sites as potential future development sites for 3G FTP provision in the Burton West area: John Taylor Free School, John Taylor High School, Shobnall Leisure Complex and The De Ferrers Academy (Trent Campus). The East Staffordshire PPOSS (2023) identified aspirations from each school for a new 11v11 3G FTP.
The LFFP Steering Group identified that a new 11v11 3G FTP at John Taylor High School could service demand from the Burton West area as well as demand from the Rural 1 area.
It is anticipated that new 11v11 3G FTPs in the Burton West area would service demand from the Burton Junior Football League (central venue league); this includes Barton Rovers FC (23 teams), Belvedere Park FC (19 teams), Hatton United Juniors FC (13 teams), Hilton Harriers FC (11 teams), Outwoods FC (16 teams), Rocester Juniors FC (15 teams, England 2* Accredited Club), Uttoxeter Juniors FC (18 teams, England 2* Accredited Club) and Winshill FC (15 teams). The site would serve community women and girls' activity.
