Notes
There is the need for one 11v11 3G pitch within Eastwood.
Eastwood Community Sports Centre has three grass pitches and two small sided 3G pitches and is operated by Hall Park Academy. It borders Hall Park which is managed by the Local Authority and has six grass pitches. Eastwood Athletic FC (12 teams, 2* England Accredited) has one junior girls team and is a potential partner Club for a 3G pitch in this area. Consultation with the Club confirms it cannot access 3G pitches locally and exports training demand outside of the Authority.
Birnham Park has five grass pitches and is managed by Moorgreen Colts FC (15 teams, 1* England Accredited). The Club has expressed an interest to Nottinghamshire FA and the Football Foundation for the development of an 11v11 3G pitch. Consultation with the Club states that it does not have access to enough training facilities and a lack of 3G pitches is a barrier to its growth.
Given the need within Eastwood an 11v11 3G pitch should be delivered at either Eastwood Community Sports Centre or Birnham Park to meet the training need from Eastwood Athletic FC and Moorgreen Colts FC.
Due to the unknown location of a 3G project, a pavilion project has also been included which is subject to site location of a 3G project and further feasibility.
