Notes
There is a need for one 11v11 3G is Sub Area 2. The Steering Group identified two possible sites for investment. These are:
- Waseley Hills High School - This is a school site, located to the west of Bromsgrove town centre. The site has 2 x 11v11 grass pitches.
- Haybridge High School/Sports Centre - located in the north west of the Authority. This is a large grass pitch site, which has 2x 11v11 and 1x 9v9 pitches. The School is very community facing and currently hosts the Stourbridge and District youth league, as a central venue site.
Both Schools have expressed an interest in developing a 3G FTP. Further feasibility work required to identify the preferred site.
Key clubs which will support this would be Catshill FC (23 teams, England ** accredited) and West Hagley FC (21 teams, England ** accredited) .
Both listed clubs have growing female sections (nine teams currently). A pitch in the area would help the female game, as well as support youth male and senior male football too.
Consultation with the RFU states that a 3G FTP in this sub area would support Old Halesowen RFU club.
