Notes
The Brentwood Centre has been identified by Brentwood Council and Essex FA as having the potential to be a strategic hub site for football. The identified project is for the delivery of three 11v11 3G FTPs which could serve as a central football offer for most of the authority.
The site has been identified by the LFFP steering group as one of the optimal sites in Brentwood to increase the supply of 11v11 3G FTP provision due to its existing infrastructure and centralised location for large grassroots clubs. There are several clubs which are based within a three mile radius of the site and have a minimum of ten teams each, these are:
Hutton Youth FC*** - 60 teams (16 dedicated female teams)
Great Danes YFC (including girls section)*** - 35 teams (six dedicated female teams)
Brentwood Youth AFC** - 38 teams (Wildcats sessions)
Blackmore Youth** - 22 teams (four dedicated female teams)
Herongate Athletic Youth FC* - 12 teams (one dedicated female team)
Autistic FC* - 11 teams
The project is anticipated to provide sufficient opportunities for the above clubs to access appropriate midweek training provision, whilst also providing opportunities for women and girls football to thrive and develop on high quality pitches.
There will be a need to review the supporting ancillary infrastructure which supports the site if 3G FTP provision is to be developed.
